Jovani is passionate about making women of all ages feeling beautiful and confident. For many prom goers, their dream dress can be a financial strain and sadly out of reach. Prom may be a luxury, but everyone deserves to enjoy this rite of passage and special occasion as a teen, without having to worry about the price tag on their dress.
An entire school district is now celebrating as Jovani has donated enough dresses for every girl to choose their own dream prom dress for 2018. The Yonkers public school district, which is the biggest in the state of New York and is comprised of 8 high schools, have all been gifted with free Jovani prom dresses.
Every high school girl will be been given the chance to select and keep a prom dress for 2018. This amazing project has seen the entire Jovani organization rally together to make sure every girl in each high school in the district can find her dream gown for her special night, and will be able to hold on to that dress forever. The company is proud of their achievement and hopes to encourage others to follow suit.
The community involved have been inspired by Jovani’s initiative and have gathered around to make the donation extra special. Another organization has kindly loaned rolling racks to put the dresses on display for the students, while a dry cleaner donated clear bags and hangers to keep the garments in pristine condition.
Every teen has been sent an invitation to visit Saunders Trades & Technical High School, one of the schools in the district. They will be able to come and view the prom dresses set up in a ‘shop’ experience, and can enjoy choosing their dream prom dress in January 2018. They’ll then to be able to take home their dress and enjoy the exciting build-up to their big day!
Jovani Charity Initiatives
This is not the first occasion Jovani has donated prom dresses. In 2013, Jovani also partnered with the non-profit Operation PROM. They donated prom dresses to ensure underprivileged high school students would be able to enjoy their prom night stress-free.
Jovani has also contributed to the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, donating dresses that are used at the annual Pediatric Prom.
